Anna Vickers

Reach for the Stage is a family run business, formed in 2005 by a father and daughter team Anna and Mike Vickers. The aim was to create a children’s theatre company  which gives young people the opportunity to perform in professional venues, as well as develop their  theatrical skills.

Anna Vickers trained at Liverpool John Moores in Performing Arts.  She has  directed for the Sheffield Children’s festival with Post-Opt Theatre Company and Transit Theatre Co. She has also spent time directing in America; running a young persons drama programme at Camp Farnsworth, Vermont. Anna worked as a Theatre Practitioner in Sheffield and Manchester before touring with numerous professional productions including ’42nd Street’, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Since moving into eduation she now works as a seconary Drama teacher and is delighted to be involved with ‘Reach for the Stage’.

Mike Vickers

Mike Vickers has been interested in musical theatre for more years than he would care to admit. He is a qualified child care practitioner and life coach and feels that theatre is an ideal medium for young people to explore their inner selves and develop confidence.

He is determined that being involved with Reach for the Stage should be a positive and fun filled experience for all members, irrespective of their skill level on joining.
