This years show is the musical Bugsy Malone a fantastic show with challenging roles for students of all ages. This year we will be double casting all the main roles to allow more students the opportunity to have speaking parts in the show. To make the experience as good as it can be for both casts we have increased the total amount of shows so that we will now be performing the full show 4 times with each lead cast performing their principal role twice… I know it sounds confusing but all will be revealed! Auditions
Of course all members will star in the show as gangsters and molls however we will be starting preparation for the principal auditions (main parts) on the first Saturday/ Sunday back so don’t miss out! There are heaps of solos and difficult vocals so we are looking for both new talent and our experienced returning members to take on these exciting opportunities. You will be taught 2 songs during the first two weeks which you will need to perform either as a solo or a duet to audition for any lead role. Auditions will take place the second week back, the weekend of 14 / 15th of Jan, between 5 and 6pm. Audition songs for any main part: ‘Bugsy Malone’ (Boys) and ‘Ordinary fool’ (Girls) These can be found on youtube if you want to get ahead of the game.
Show dates
We are performing the show in Wolverhampton at the end of June and in Sheffield the first weekend of July. We will be rehearsing on Saturdays in Sheffield and Sundays’ in Wolverhampton between now and then (except school holidays). We are pleased to announce that the fee remains at £12 a week for the 3rd year running, discounts still apply if you decide to pay in larger instalments. Please remember there are some supported scholarships available on application if you could do with a helping hand.
